Pissing Razors – Evolution – CD Review

It’s almost impossible to go wrong with the band Pissing Razors. Every release is superb, and their 2003 opus “Evolution” [Spitfire Records] maintains that exceptional tradition of brilliant brutality. Pissing Razors plays a razor-sharp brand of Tribal/Industrial Death Metal. And it is always good.

Their new vocalist is top-notch. His virulent combination of powerful growls and clean howls crowns the roaring grooves that bleed from every song. The intense guitars bite in deeply, creating a huge, chunky hook that rides the tribal drum beats. Pissing Razors is incredibly cool, totally addictive.

The best of these amazing, fiery cuts includes the locomotive assault of “Two Face Devil,” “Perseverance,” the mechanized crunch of “Takedown,” “Evolution,” the mournful glory of “Fall Away,” and the exceptionally excellent “Hanging On The Cross.” “Evolucion” has Spanish lyrics…a nice little tangent. Pissing Razors is amazing.

Overall, Pissing Razors has created their best album yet in “Evolution.” This is one ascension that should not be missed. Stay savage. Farewell.

Keep the faith, and the AGGRESSION. War.
