I noticed from the first song, it had a country-folk-blues feel but then again a couple songs (such as “Guess Again”) reminded me of some of the acoustic ballads by Jon Bon Jovi but a tad more country. I was surprised when I read the liner notes. Jon actually did backup vocals and played electric guitar on “Boys In Bars”. I specially liked “Only A Good Woman”. Kevin’s vocals are very strong on this song. This is a great blues number. Kevin’s partner (and brother) Michael, adds warmth to the songs with his harmonies as well as his instrumental capabilities. It’s a nice combination. You can feel the kinship. The song that brought a glow to my heart was K9 Love. I am a dog lover and this is such a cool song.
