Riotgun – Americore CD Review

I often felt like I am caught in the land of meaningless music; where music is catchy and funny, but has no real message. Recently I listened to one the best punk rock albums I have heard this year. Americore from Riotgun is a punk album that packs such a punch, that it will kick your ass along with your mother’s. It took me back to when punk rock was an attitude, not just a weird clothing style.

Riotgun brings aggression mixed with raw emotion to the table with true to the heart punk on Americore. Using awesome guitar riffs combined with killer bass lines and drum beats, along with powerful vocals and lyrics; Riotgun paints a picture of the hassles of touring, and the attitude of being a punk. With songs such as Built to Last, Reclaimed, Apology, and Too Many Mutha Fuckaz; Riotgun brings a true punk message when they play, stating take back what’s yours and telling people that you will not apologize for who you are, what you do nor for what you want to be.

If you are looking for some bubble gum punk about why girls do dumb things, then this album is definitely not for you. However, if you are into drinking beer, partying, and not really giving a fuck; then this album is right up your alley.
