Well….for some reason it is very difficult for me to place the word ‘POP’ in the same sentence with ‘HARDCORE’, but this is really the only way I can describe GRADE. For me, they are POP with a HARDCORE edge. I have to admit, I don’t recall hearing any band quite like GRADE and I suppose this is good. Their sound does seem unique. They twist and turn their, basically, POP oriented sound; blending it with the pungent force of HARDCORE and a tinge of PUNK once in a while. This is contributed to by Kyle Bishop mutating back and forth between normal pop-style vocals and the hardcore growls of a rabid dog.
